Jason Farrington and Stephanie Cory both returned to the United States in the summer
of 1997 after serving missions for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in
Finland and Brazil respectively.  Jason returned to Colorado, where he worked at The
Peaks Resort and Spa in Telluride.  Stephanie returned to Las Vegas, but almost
immediately moved to Cedar City, Utah, where she resumed her schooling at Southern
Utah University and got a job as a resident advisor in the dorms.
Jason eventually moved to Cedar City as well and worked for a few months before
enrolling at SUU in January of 1998.  Once they were both Thunderbirds, it took just
a month for Jason and Stephanie to meet.  They were introduced to one another by a
mutual friend, Sarah Hancock, and went on their first date on February 13, 1998.
That first date was to a Valentine's Day dance.  It started with dinner with
Stephanie's roommates and their dates in their dorm room (where Jason sang in
Finnish) and ended with a 1:00 a.m. showing of "Titanic" (probably not the best
movie to watch at that time of night, but it worked out well).
Just one week after that marathon first date, Jason went with Stephanie to Las
Vegas to meet her parents and to visit the Las Vegas Temple.  On March 28,
they visited the St. George, Utah Temple to celebrate the fourth anniversary of
Jason's baptism.  It was during that visit that Jason prayed to know if he should
ask Stephanie to marry him and felt very strongly that was the right decision.
The next day, Jason spent the morning in a diamond store and, after what
seemed like an eternity waiting for financing for the ring to be approved and
then for April Fools' Day to pass, and after calling Stephanie parents to ask
their permission to marry their daughter, Jason proposed on April 2, 1998.
Jason and Stephanie were married in the Las Vegas Temple on August 8, 1998
- exactly 6 months after they first met.
In May of 1999, Jason finished his bachelor's degree at SUU and the Farringtons
moved to Las Vegas, where Jason started law school.  Stephanie finished her
degree the following year.  On January 30, 2001, Chandler Ray Farrington was
born.  When Chandler was seven months old, Stephanie started working as a
fourth grade teacher at Ruby Thomas Elementary School.  Jason took night classes
for his final year in law school and took care of Chandler during the day.
Several years went by, Jason finished law school and began his career as an
attorney, Stephanie returned to being a full-time mom to Chandler, and everything
was going well with the entire family.  But Jason and Stephanie began to worry that
they would not be able to have another child.  They looked into various options,
praying often for guidance, and ultimately decided that, if they continued to be unable
to have a child, they wanted to adopt a child with special needs.  Within a month after
making that decision, Stephanie learned that she was pregnant.  On August 13, 2004,
Chelsea Fé Farrington was born.  About 20 to 30 minutes after Chelsea was born, the
doctor delivered the news that Chelsea appeared to have Down syndrome.  After an
initial shock, the Farringtons have come to realize that news was good news, as
Chelsea has been an absolute blessing to the Farrington Family.
In the spring of 2005, the Farringtons moved to Laveen, Arizona where they lived for
about a year and a half before returning to Las Vegas in November 2006.
  A few months
later, on March 19, 2007 they were joined by the family's fifth member, Timothy K
Farrington.  The five Farringtons now live in Summerlin, on the western edge of Las
Vegas.
